Bad Company’s US Dates

Bad Company have revealed the tour dates for their eagerly anticipated reunion, and at the moment it’s not particularly good news for fans in Europe.

The reunited band will play ten dates in the US, many of them on the East Coast but chances of the tour expanding are looking slim.

Speaking to Billboard Paul Rodgers says that the band will be playing the limited run of shows in support of their new DVD, Hard Rock Live, which was recorded in Florida last year.

“It was a really good show — both the band and the fans were on fire,” says Rodgers on Billboard.com. “Queen does fantastic versions of my material, but it was very authentic playing with the (Bad Company) guys, very much the real deal, I guess.”

“We recorded a DVD that night, which we’re very proud of. The idea of releasing the DVD was a reality and supporting it is also a reality, and I think we really need to go out and do some dates in support of it. But I wanted to keep it to a minimum and keep it somewhat exclusive, too.”

Billboard reports that not only is the tour unlikely to expand but following the dates Rodgers will take a year off to start writing new material – although whether that material will be for a solo project or a second outing with Queen depends on which internet rumour you care to believe.
